Easy to use

Once the Administration and the Web modules are installed on your servers, Business4Mobile is ready to go.
You don't need to install any software (or hardware) on the mobile device.
When the browser is activated on their Smartphone and the user is connected, Business4Mobile immediately presents the users with a list of available folders and queries, according to the rights defined by the Administrator.
With an easy to use (and multilingual) interface, the user may at any time, set their display preferences for numeric values, histograms, pie charts, maximum number of lines displayed for each query and more...
To share the results of their queries, Business4Mobile will transform the results to a "pdf" file and and allow the user to send the file by email.
Note that the generation of these reports is done using templates customized for your company.

Security and Performance

The increasing use of Smartphones connected to the Internet has seen the data traffic on the mobile network exceed that of the voice as of December (2009).
If the phone operators insure confidentiality of transmissions, the protection of your data over the Internet must be implemented by your Company.
On the mobile side, Business4Mobile requires no installation on the terminal and/or on the phone card.
The Business4Mobile users must enter a user id and password that is recognized by the web server (standard Apache and PHP servers).
This is done to comply with the security and identification policies that can be defined globally or for a specific application.

Setup and Customization

Much of the preparation work is done using a standard Windows PC.
The Administration module allows you to manage the Business4Mobile users and to define their queries.
The interface uses intuitive operations, based on drag and drop, that allow you select the columns to display, and edit columns headers, define calculated fields and other operations required to create the query.
If you already have existing queries in your information system, the same tool can be used to import the existing queries
As a Business4Mobile user, you can also enter selection value/parameters (e.g. by entering "Canada" in a country field), perform sorts on the results of queries (e.g. the "Date" column ), limit the number of rows to display on the screen of your Smart phone, and automatically generate charts (pie chart, histogram, etc...).
All the results displayed by Business4Mobile are customizable for your company.

Costs

Business4Mobile is priced based entirely on the number of registered users.
And starts for 5 users.
The number of servers, the number of databases are not used for this price.
An unlimited number of users license is also available.

Normal carrier communications cost are required to operate your Smartphone and you can obtain these costs from your communications carrier.
